Has a particularly special bond with him. People were happy to see a doctor’s careful eye next to his patient even after 23 hours of operation.
The aforementioned image is so famous that National Geographic included it in a list of the top 100 images ever published by the magazine.
The doctor is no longer with us now, but his treatment of patients makes us think of the proverb, “If one is the benefited, never forget.” Never remember if you are the benefactor.
It was an impossible procedure, not just a challenging one. But Zbigniew Religa, a Polish surgeon, chose to step in.
