Celebrities including John Goodman, Lizzo, and Katy Perry are coming under fire for their purportedly Ozempic facial phenomenon-related changes in look.
According to the European Medicines Agency, Ozempic is used in conjunction with diet and exercise to help control blood sugar levels.
It may be used alone or in combination with other diabetic drugs such insulin, sulphonylureas, or metformin.
In people with type 2 diabetes and known cardiac disease, Ozempic may also help lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, or death. According to UC Davis Health,
