Six persons have been charged by a Missouri prosecutor in relation to the August 2024 death of a 49-day-old infant.
On August 19, emergency personnel allegedly saw a dirty scene strewn with narcotics and garbage when they initially arrived at a mobile home north of Troy.
Ty’Ann Paisley Curtner, who was seven weeks old, did not respond. She was declared dead at the hospital shortly after medical personnel attempted to resuscitate her.
Her parents and four other persons were charged with murder after a months-long inquiry into her death.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Ty’Ann suffered from cerebral hemorrhage and two fractured ribs.
Authorities first believed that shaking was the cause of her death. The baby died from exposure to methamphetamine and fentanyl, according to an autopsy.
