After scoring a touchdown in the Houston Texans’ Week 16 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, wide receiver Tank Dell sustained a leg injury that seems to be significant.
Naturally, after seeing the second-year wideout’s collapse, Dell’s teammates were devastated. People were outraged as Dell was being treated in the back of the end zone, including C.J.
Stroud. In the NBC broadcast, the second-year quarterback was seen fighting back tears as veteran running back Joe Mixon consoled him.

In an interview on “The Pat McAfee Show” during the 2023 season, Stroud referred to Dell as his “best friend on the team,” demonstrating their tight bond.
Together, they were high-drafted rookies when they joined the league, worked out before to the 2023 NFL draft, and became closer in Houston.
