After having a stroke, a woman who has never been to Italy awakens with a “Italian accent.”

After having a stroke, a lady started speaking with a “Italian accent,” describing how it seems like someone is “impersonating” her.

Althia Bryden, 58, is retired and lives in London with her husband, Winston, 63, who provides full-time care.

Due to a carotid web in her neck, which is thought to have caused her stroke, she was unable to talk or feel the upper right part of her body for three months after her stroke on May 4, 2024.

Even though she had never been to Italy, Althia was shocked to hear her words tinted with an Italian accent when she was able to talk again after having it surgically removed in August of this year.

Althia said that she even adopted mannerisms and slipped into Italian terms during conversations as a result of her new accent. Among these new words were “si,” “bambino,” and “mamma mia.”

In the midst of his trial, Mom shot and murdered the guy who killed her 7-year-old daughter.
