Her curiosity overcame her and she checked on her mother and daughter. She was moved by what she witnessed.
Lydia’s mother used to be a hairdresser, and she would often share this fact with Emma. The little girl desired she became a hairdresser because she was so engrossed in the tales.
She would go for the scissors and trim a few strands of her long hair in an attempt to please her grandmother. At that point, they would both chuckle.
Emma’s favorite pastime with her grandmother appeared to be playing “salon.” Emma’s grandmother let Emma to “style” her hair, giving in to the little girl’s whims without any malice.
When Lydia found out, all of her worries vanished. She spoke to her mother about the value of open communication and setting limits, even if she wasn’t angry with her.
Lydia enrolled Emma in weekend children’s classes after seeing how engaged she was in hair style.
In this manner, she could continue to pursue her love while being supervised by experts who forbade her from cutting her own hair. Naturally, Emma could still ask the grandmother to watch her anytime she wanted.
