A man who had been receiving chemotherapy for nine years was devastated to learn that he had never had cancer.

In 2021, Olson discontinued his cancer treatment, and a year later, he filed a lawsuit against St. Peter’s. An unknown sum was paid by the hospital as part of the settlement.

After denying all of the accusations, Weiner filed a lawsuit against the hospital for defamation and wrongful termination.

According to ProPublica, a Montana court rejected the lawsuit, but Weiner appealed. The appeal was still ongoing before the state Supreme Court as of December 20.

Regarding the Weiner case, St. Peter’s Health sent the following statement to UNILAD: “We take great pride in the fact that our patients entrust us with their health and well-being.

“St. Peter’s is focused on moving forward, and we remain fully committed to providing the great care and experience our community deserves.”
