According to the House Ethics Committee’s final findings, Matt Gaetz may have broken state statutes pertaining to statutory rape and prostitution.

Their inability to recall specifics of at least one or more of the occasions they attended with Representative Gaetz was due to drug or alcohol use.

Two women testified before the committee that Gaetz had paid them for sex, including one who said that in 2017, when he was a member of the House,

He paid a lady for sex at a small, invitation-only party in Florida, where prostitution is prohibited, according to their attorney, who spoke to NBC News. At the time, the ladies were of legal age.

Joel Leppard, the lawyer for the two women who testified before the House Ethics Committee, told NBC News in a statement, “My clients gave important testimony to the Committee.

At significant personal cost. The Committee’s comprehensive investigation and specific findings validate their accounts and show their credibility.”

Through this thorough inquiry, their testimony—which was backed up by copious evidence and corroborated witnesses—has now been confirmed.
