The corporations’ continued activities in Russia, according to campaigners, were indirectly supporting the Russian war effort.
The campaigners wrote to the Kind before his June birthday, saying, “We urge the Royal family to stand in solidarity with Ukraine by demonstrating.
That companies contributing to the suffering and devastation in Ukraine will not be bestowed with the privilege and honor of holding a royal warrant.”
“Taking such a strong stance would not only show the Royal family’s support for Ukraine, but it would also show that the family does not approve of these companies’ continued operations in Russia.”
