Organizers of the CrossFit Games in Texas have verified the death of Serbian swimmer Lazar Dukic.
The 28-year-old Dukic went missing on Thursday morning while competing on Marine Creek Lake, close to Fort Worth, Texas, in a live-stream of the events.
In Fort Worth, Texas, he was last seen around 100 meters from the conclusion of the 800-meter swimming section, according to Metro.
His crew informed the event organizers that he had not come out of the water, so they contacted the authorities.
Hours later, a corpse was located. His cause of death has not been listed by the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office as yet.
