After Lazar Dukic vanished beneath the sea during a CrossFit Games event in Texas, the organization confirmed his death.

A 5.6-kilometer run and an 800-meter (0.5-mile) swim were part of Thursday’s event, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Starting on Thursday and continuing through Sunday, the games drew an estimated 10,000 spectators, according to the publication.

According to what Kaitlin Pritchard told the newspaper, she saw Dukic coming up on the finish line as she stood there.

She said that he was one of the swimmers whose patterns she noted had altered, which she speculated may be due to exhaustion from the run.

Based on her observations, Pritchard concluded that the individuals paddling about the lake were lifeguards; nevertheless, she failed to see that any of them attempted to save anybody by jumping in.
