Before turning 70, Denzel Washington gets baptised and appointed a minister.

Saying, “Anything I can do, I will do for this church, the Almighty,” the Training Day star concluded his speech with a vow to God. All I want is to be among them when the saints charge in.

His comments are in line with a recent article he published in which he reflected on his religious convictions.

“Things I said about God when I was a little boy, just reciting them in church along with everybody else, I know now,”

Denzel wrote last month in Esquire. “God exists. Love is God. The only path is thru God. The real path is God. May God bless you.

“It’s my job to lift God up, to give Him praise, to make sure that anyone and everyone I speak to the rest of my life understands.
