His sister-in-law, Andrea Conway, read a poignant letter he sent to Sophia Rose in the spring of 2000. Christopher wrote an intensely felt passage:
“I am the luckiest man alive.” I could say that I had experienced genuine love and happiness if anything were to happen to me.
I am aware of that from both you and your mother. If I could alter my life, nothing would change. Don’t regret anything. You have no idea how much I adore you both.
The courage and selflessness of all first responders who put their lives in danger to help others are symbolized by Christopher Amoroso’s death.
Although Christopher and his fellow Port Authority officers suffered the greatest single-day loss in U.S. law enforcement history (37), they should also be respected for their contributions to the Fire Department’s loss.
Christoper’s daughter, wife, and other family members ought to be doing well. To commemorate him, please post this article on Facebook!
