His publicist has verified that comedian Bob Newhart has passed away at the age of 94.

“A series of short illnesses” led to Newhart’s death, according to his longtime publicist Jerry Digney, who informed the New York Post in a press statement.
According to the iconic comic’s 2020 interview with the site, his career as a stand-up comedian started in the 1950s, after a time in the army when he became famous as
