He was honored into the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Hall of Fame on July 10, the day before he celebrated his 40th birthday.
This is in addition to his induction into the Hall of Fame at his high school in New Orleans, Marion Abramson, as well as his inclusion in the Hall of Fame at his alma mater.
