Families have spoken out over the 179 confirmed deaths on board the Jeju Air aircraft this morning. After taking off from Bangkok,
Thailand, the Jeju Air passenger plane (a Boeing 737-800) crashed at an airfield in the town of Muan,
South Korea. With its landing gear retracted, the jet skidded down the runway at high speed before crashing into.
A wall and exploding, according to news video of the incident. A’series of explosions’ and’metallic scraping’ were also reported by accident witnesses.
Four crew members were among the 175 persons killed in the disaster, according to the BBC, but several are yet unidentified. As of this now, 88 victims have been recognised.
