“How are you feeling today and what’s one thing you can do to move yourself closer to that perfect ideal world?”

According to Nobel, people might also start small by exploring interests or areas of curiosity.

The 39-year-old Kristen Bear started her quest for self-awareness online.

Before a new illness brought down the whole nation in 2020, the Nashville resident had been sober for two weeks. She was lonely, had given up her favourite activity, and was anxious about notifying friends and family that she was sober.

She said, “I realised that I had no idea who I am when I stopped drinking.” Bear started to follow social media profiles and sobriety podcasts.

She started attending poetry lessons after realising how much she enjoyed reading, writing, and learning. She felt her self-assurance rising.
