Which was put up by the Freedom From Religion Foundation. Hundreds of social media users attacked the Catholic League’s billboard for attacking atheism, mocking it online.
“Is the director of their media twelve years old?” “NOBODY OWNS THE SEASONS,” one person remarked, while another yelled.
Another person said, “This time of year, there are many celebrations and customs, many of which predate Christianity.” The season’s natural cause is the Winter Solstice.
A another commenter said, “It’s real, and our ancient ancestors have looked up in the sky and acknowledged it since long before the last few thousand years.”
