Hunter Dies After Bear Shot In Tree Falls On Him

Unfortunately, a hunter was killed when a bear he shot in a tree fell on him. The man’s death was looked into by the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources. Lester C.

Harvey Jr., 58, of Virgina, was among those who pursued the animal into the tree and then shot it. According to the account, the bear was so frightened by the hunting party that it fled into the tree.

Then they took a step back and fired it. According to reports, Harvey Jr. was ten feet or so from the tree’s base. The animal fell on him after being shot.

Even though he believed he was at a safe distance. The group tried first aid and phoned emergency services after the event.

Prior to being sent to the hospital, his condition was stable but critical. Sadly, however, his injuries caused him to pass away a few days later.

His wife, three sons, two daughters, and eight grandkids survive him. “Dad was doing what he loved most, bear hunting with me and some of his good friends when he was injured.”
