In a massive push for clemency, Biden commutes the sentences of crack dealers, cartel leaders, and “notorious” fraudsters.

 

And former CEO Eric Bloom of Sentinel Management Group, Inc., two of the “most notorious fraudsters” in the Chicago region.

In what many referred to as the worst municipal fraud in American history, Crundwell stole $53.7 million from Dixon over a ten-year period.

He was sentenced to almost 20 years in jail in 2013. Bloom was found guilty of scamming more than $665 million from “hundreds of victims.”

According to Biden’s statement on Thursday, “Today, President Biden announced that he is granting clemency to nearly 1,500 Americans – the most ever in a single day.

Who have demonstrated successful rehabilitation and a strong commitment to making their communities safer.”

“The sentences of nearly 1,500 people who were placed on home confinement during the COVID-19 pandemic and have successfully reintegrated into.

Their families and communities are being commuted by the President.” A request for comment was not immediately answered by the White House.
