“A gondola is an enclosed ski lift,” she said. “They’re cabins so you get on without skis, walk on, carry your skis and put your skis on at the top.”
According to Miller, every visitor who was stranded on the gondola received two lift permits for this year or next year along with a $10 coupon.
Miller said that the gondola’s malfunctioning element had been taken out and a replacement was being fitted on Sunday afternoon.
Miller said the incident was instantly reported to the Winter Park Resort personnel. “It came to a halt as intended. The gondola’s occupants didn’t need to make any calls. We received the notice automatically,” she stated.
