It’s a complete overreach when New York Congressman Nick Langworthy demands answers on Peanut the squirrel!

The congressman goes on to say that the state government’s conduct was an outright overreaction to what was ultimately just a raccoon and a squirrel in a private residence.

We revealed that Mark Longo and his wife Daniela, the owners of Peanut, are suing after pet squirrel was taken and put down. Mark assures us that Peanut’s death was not in vain.

Mark earlier informed us that last week, state officers arrived at the couple’s home with a warrant that was signed by four government agencies and a court. In order to test for rabies, officers captured and put down a raccoon and Peanut.

According to Langworthy, he believes that Mark and Daniela’s civil rights were infringed upon… and he and his colleagues are investigating!
