Debra’s life changed as a result of that encounter. She went to the closest salon to have her hair trimmed and colored instead of going to work.
She then bought herself some new outfits, including several elegant gowns. She informed Kayla over the phone on the way home that she should no longer rely on her financial aid.
She had to get a job on her own since she was an adult with a kid to raise. Startled, Kayla questioned what she had done wrong.
Debra just said that it was her choice and that it was final since she lacked the strength to debate. After arriving home, Austin gave her a perplexed expression.
