he referred to his third wife Cindy Landon as the love of his life, in addition to his previous two marriages. They stayed together until Landon’s untimely death in 1991,
when he was 54 years old. With his empathetic and compassionate nature, Landon embodied the role of Charles Ingalls to perfection, and his nine children couldn’t agree more.
Michael Landon was well-known for being a doting father, even though he avoided public discussion of his family and kept his private life out of the limelight.
