Harris said in Prince George’s County, Maryland, “I have received tens of thousands of letters from people across our nation over the past several weeks.

Since the election, many of them young leaders, Americans from every walk of life, people of every age, race, faith, and political party.”

“There is a common thread throughout these letters. There is disappointment, to be sure, but there is also determination for the future.

“As the year draws to a close, a lot of individuals have approached me to express their fatigue, even resignation, and uncertainty about their ability, much alone desire, to continue fighting.

To be clear, nobody is able to leave. “No one can leave,” she said. “All of us must continue to strive for a functioning economy that benefits working people as well as the wealthy and powerful—that is, all Americans.
