Naturally, a lot of thinking (and maybe a few sleepless nights) goes into getting it exactly perfect since it’s like giving your restaurant its own personality.
Co-owners Sumersing Patil and Pravin Kadam of Swaad-Assal Marathi told Bored Panda how, despite being in a different country, they came up with the significant name for their restaurant.
“In India, we say swaad, which means taste, when we eat food,” they clarified. “Authentic Maharashtrian food is called assal marathi in Marathi, the state language of Maharashtra.”
Their pride in authenticity is reflected in their restaurant, which is well-known for its tasty Maharashtrian food.
