Famous for his parts in “Die Hard 2” and “A Soldier’s Story,” actor Art Evans has away. He was eighty-two.
In an emailed statement to USA TODAY on Sunday, Evans’ representatives LyNea Bell and Charleen McGuire announced that he passed away on Saturday.
Evans fought diabetes for many years, and complications from the disease were the actor’s cause of death.
Evans’ wife, Babe Evans, said in a statement via his reps that “Art was not only an incredible actor but a devoted husband, friend, and source of light to everyone who knew him.”
“His love of life, passion, and humor will be sorely missed. We honor the legacy of inspiration and joy he leaves behind, even if our hearts are sad.
According to Bell and McGuire, Evans’ memorial ceremonies will take place shortly; specifics will be revealed in the days ahead.
