The FBI says that the suspect in the terrorist incident in New Orleans that claimed the lives of at least ten people was flagged by ISIS.

Although that figure is anticipated to increase, police superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick stated that 35 individuals had been known to have been sent to nearby hospitals.

She said that the majority of the victims seemed to be residents rather than visitors and disclosed that the guy had opened fire on cops, wounding two of them, who are in stable condition.

Instead of calling the event a DUI, the police characterised it as “intentional behaviour”.

Cantrell’s claim seemed to be contradicted by FBI special agent Althea Duncan, who has taken over the investigation, telling reporters, “This is not a terrorist event.”

People should stay away from the area “until we can figure out what is going on,” she said, adding that “improvised explosive devices” were discovered on the site and that investigators are trying to determine if they are “viable.”
