The “godfather of AI” claims that in ten years, it may wipe out humanity.

Hinton developed a technique in the 1980s that laid the groundwork for contemporary artificial intelligence by automatically identifying certain components in images and discovering attributes in data.

According to him, the technology has advanced “much faster” than he had anticipated and might render AI “the grownups” and humans the equivalent of “three-year-olds.”

He went on, “I think it’s like the industrial revolution.” Human strength [became less important] throughout the industrial revolution because machines were just more powerful; if you needed to dig a hole, you used a machine.

“What we now possess is displacing human intellect. Additionally, robots will be the cutting edge instead of simply regular human intellect. Dickensian transformation

According to Professor Hinton, AI will have a significant impact on the lives of common people, just as the Industrial Revolution did, as Charles Dickens recorded.
