According to the autopsy report that was acquired by PEOPLE, the 53-year-old died as a result of several blunt force injuries.
The mother had been at her daughter’s graduation ceremony, but had already split from her husband and son, who was twelve years old, prior to the tragic event, as stated in the report’s summary.
After the graduate stepped foot in the stadium, the mother allegedly informed her daughter “that she loved her and would always be her mother,” as stated in the autopsy report.
Afterwards, she jumped, according to the coroner’s office, after climbing over the concrete wall of the stadium near the bell tower.
The unfortunate occurrence was confirmed by Ben Johnson, a statement was sent to the media by OSU after her passing.
