The ‘unseen viewpoint’ of the 9/11 Twin Tower collapse was re-released after 23 years.

In Sugimoto’s film, black smoke is seen rising from the towers before they all fall to the earth. “It’s crazy that we’re almost 23 years out and still getting new footage,” others said on Reddit.

“It makes me wonder how much history is being stored in people’s basements or attics waiting to be unearthed,” another person wrote.

Sugimoto provided more justification for his choice to finally release it after a lengthy wait in the YouTube comments section. He wrote: “I discovered crates full of Hi-8, Digital-8, and DV recordings while organizing my closet.

“I discovered that about one-third of them had demagnetized over time and were either blank or experiencing significant data distortion when I attempted to play them again.

“I frantically began digitizing video cassettes after learning from my internet study that they are susceptible to deterioration even in the best of storage circumstances.
