Not long after that, Triplett was declared deceased. Brown said that the gym had not seen something like Triplett’s death—a “cardiac arrest”—in decades.
“No drowning has occurred in 46 years,” Brown said. There was no actual drowning involved; this is an unusual occurrence. A heart attack had occurred.
