Another influencer who made it through, Vanessa, subsequently told local media that the group had gotten together for a party on a fancy boat, where they partied and drank.
The company divided into two boats for the return trip as they were ready to go.
In order to avoid drowning, Vanessa, who was in the boat when the wave struck, clung to adjacent rocks and promptly located a life jacket.
“There was a time in the water when nobody could see anybody,” she recalled. I was struggling to survive.
Camila, another survivor, said that she used all of her power to hold onto a life jacket. “There were very strong waves, we almost died,” she said, describing the horrific experience.
We were not proficient swimmers. I knew I couldn’t endure it for very long. I ingested a lot of water and injured my foot.
