It seems that Athena travelled over 20 miles (32 kilometres) round-trip while she was gone, based on all of the notifications Comer received.
Comer and her family would get at the location within minutes of each alarm and look for Athena, but to no avail.
“She was the all-time grand champion in hide-and-seek,” Comer said. “My heart leapt at every sighting, and it was truly thrilling,
But then your heart is crushed because we were always lagging behind.” Comer, who was concerned about where her already cautious.
Dog could have gone or might have come across, found the whole hunt to be a horrifying and frightening experience. That is, until her second dog started barking at 2:30 a.m.
On Christmas Eve when she received a Ring video notice from her doorbell. “The dog was barking, and I was kind of dazed,” Comer recalled.
