Schoolwork, volunteer work, sports, and obligations to their families and friends. They put a lot of effort into earning money and recognize its worth.
Perhaps I wouldn’t have the same attitude if they were the kind of youngsters that wasted money. Fortunately, they are not; they have continuously shown their responsibility to us.
They seldom ever ask us for anything, thus they are not entitled. Kids already have enough stress these days, so I don’t see why I would want to add to it.
We are a four-income home now, and don’t get me wrong, I’m confident that they would both help out if something ever came along that required it.
This is their house, not a place they rent. At least they will have some kind of nest egg to assist them get on their feet when they eventually need to mature.
