Adams also mentioned the instance of a grandmother in Harlem who was murdered by a stray bullet and bemoaned the lack of response from elected authorities to other recent violent episodes.
“Did an elected official discuss that?” he inquired.
According to Tricia McLaughlin, assistant secretary for the Department of Homeland Security, attempts are being made to find the remaining suspects.
“Secretary Noem will not allow our courageous law enforcement to be attacked in silence.”
Tom Homan, the current Border Czar and former acting ICE Director, blasted sanctuary city policies, pointing to the incident as proof of the risks associated with not cooperating with federal immigration authorities.
“You’re far more dangerous to an unarmed civilian if you’re bold enough to attack an armed law enforcement officer,” Homan stated on Fox News.
