According to the inquest, Mason had paid for rooms close to each other during a work trip prior to Jaysle’s death and created a 14-page paper outlining his “feelings towards her.”
The 19-year-old was sexually attacked by another coworker in addition to having to cope with Mason’s inappropriate behavior.
Gunner Beck had earlier claimed to the hearing that Sergeant Michael Webber had abused him. While on a team-building trip in Hampshire in July 2021, he put his “hand between her legs” during the event.
According to McCready, her daughter was too scared to go back to her room that night, so she slept in her car.
After that, Webber was forced to write an apologetic letter to Gunner Beck and was given a small sanction on his record.
Her mother claimed that the letter she had received, which ended with Webber saying that his “door was open” for her, had infuriated her.
