White Oak, Maryland — A little boy fell Thursday from the fifteenth story of an apartment building in Montgomery County, Maryland, and an investigation is currently underway, according to WJLA.
According to officials, a shrub might have saved the child’s life after he was transported to the hospital with a fractured arm.
“I was really afraid. “What would I do if it were my daughter?” was all I could think. Because hearing that makes me very, very sad as a mother,” Grace Andoh, an apartment occupant, said.
Rescue personnel raced to the White Oak high-rise apartment on Oak Leaf Drive.
When they came, they found that the 2-year-old boy’s landing on ground-level shrubs somehow saved his life.
The apartment next door is occupied by a mother. “Imagine, 15 stories, coming down with such speed, and to survive, is incredible,” she stated.
According to the fire brigade, the child was still conscious after that harrowing balcony fall. He was clearly injured only by a fractured arm.
