A 22-year-old man passes away after his best friend’s prank goes horribly wrong.

The resident of Clacton-on-Sea would pass away on January 25, 2022, despite being transported to the Royal London Hospital that evening.

According to MailOnline, severe spinal cord injury with hypoxic brain injury was his suggested cause of death.

A accusation of causing severe bodily harm without intent led to the arrest of Groom’s companion, but it was eventually withdrawn.

Lincoln Brookes, the senior coroner for Essex, would determine that Groom’s death was the consequence of an accident brought on by “inebriated but not malicious horseplay.”

“I completely accept that this was caused by good spirits and that there was nothing malicious,” he stated.
