She started a new medication in February 2025, and although though she only takes four of the required twelve pills day, it has already begun to decrease her cancer.

Ms. Murphy said, “I’m taking a break from treatment at the moment, because it’s just too much on my body.”

Ban Sun Beds to Prevent Skin Cancer is a petition she started and has already amassed over 700 signatures.

“It was just an impromptu thing,” she said. “Sunbeds are known to cause cancer.” “Banning them would save the NHS money and save lives.”

She has demanded that social media and influencers cease the “glamourization” of tanning. “Your life should be permanent, but your tan is semi-permanent,” she said.
