She continues to experience infections, and Fowler’s syndrome eventually had a major negative impact on her mental health. Further research is required to fully understand this disorder.
But after six years, she told the newspaper, she’s learning how to feel confident again.
“I was in the hospital last year for my mental health, and it was difficult for me to accept that it was a lifelong condition,” she added.
