A 28-year-old man with 72 lung holes dies unexpectedly

He was unlikely to live to be thirty years old. The family is still unsure of how the sickness could have progressed so rapidly, Watts’ younger sister Caitlyn told Daily Mail Australia.

“He had holes in his lungs and had been in the hospital for three weeks after coughing up blood, and I discovered how bad things had started to get in July of last year,” she added.

“His doctor warned him that he might have died if he hadn’t gotten in so quickly.” A scan in 2021 revealed two holes in Watts’ lung. Over the course of the next year, his health started to decline.

Watts apparently struggled with mental health concerns, had a chronic cough that wasn’t relieved by over-the-counter medication, and endured indigestion and tiredness.

After a lung hemorrhage that left him hospitalized for three weeks in early 2024, the father started seeking specialist therapy. However, by the middle of 2024, there were allegedly 72 holes in his lung.
