After a disastrous visit to a chiropractor for neck problems, a 29-year-old gym patron sadly died. In September 2021, Joanna Kowalczyk, 29, of Newcastle,
England, had a severe neck injury while engaging in personal training. The Times reports that her injury, which was diagnosed.
As an arterial dissection—a rupture in the artery’s lining—was made worse by an existing connective tissue condition that made her more vulnerable to this kind of harm.
Kowalczyk chose alternate therapy over a suggested procedure, even though he had visited a hospital for an initial evaluation. In the end, this choice resulted in more issues and her passing.
According to Kowalczyk’s medical records, she was more susceptible to arterial damage because of pre-existing problems including joint hypermobility and recurrent migraines.
