A doctor has been imprisoned for allegedly hiding spycams in toilet air fresheners so he could compare his “small penis” to other men’s.
Over the course of more than three years, Yu Young Um, 34, surreptitiously recorded over 24 people using the restroom at staff housing and in an Airbnb in Scotland.
Following a trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court in April, the anesthetist was found guilty of 23 crimes and sentenced to 18 months in prison on Thursday, according to the Crown Office.
Prosecutors described how Yu Young Um set up the cameras at his partially rented home in Glasgow’s Hyland Area.
Prosecutors claimed that the reality only came to light after one victim became suspicious after observing two air fresheners that seemed to be facing the shower and toilet.
Subsequent investigation revealed a third device inside a smoke alarm, and deeper examination revealed hidden cameras inside the plastic containers.
