Who would not be named and that she had sent two naked photos of the student. She acknowledged that the two had talked about their affections for one another for hours on the phone and Instagram.
In a later comment, Lanning acknowledged that the two were “wrapped up in one another,” saying, “I remember at the time I just wanted to give [them] all of me and wanted [them] to think I was amazing.”
‘Inherently sexual in character’ was the ruling of the Teaching Regulation Agency monitor on the pictures that Lanning sent.
“It was obvious that Miss Lanning was seeking some kind of relationship and/or sexual gratification,” stated panel head Alan Wells.
“She had developed feelings for a student at the school about whom she held authority and power, and she acted on this by sending inappropriate photos of herself.”
