The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office has revised its travel recommendations for travelers who want to visit Greece in the wake of this morning’s explosion.
Potential tourists to the Mediterranean nation are warned by their new terrorism warning that “terrorists are likely to try to carry out attacks in Greece.”
Attacks may be indiscriminate, including in locations that foreign visitors visit, according to official advice for anybody planning to visit Greece.
“There have been several attacks involving explosives and automatic weapons against Greek institutions, shopping malls, banks, media offices, diplomatic premises and the police.”
Following today’s explosion, British citizens in the Thessaloniki area are advised to “take care and follow the advice of the local authorities.”
