Hatfield was meant to be caring for the infant boy on January 31st. Rather, she allegedly pummeled Kingston severely till he began to throw up.
She dialed 911 as he continued to throw up, and he was taken to the hospital right away.
He suffered severe head trauma, which doctors determined could only have been caused by a deliberate, physical assault.
Kingston’s prognosis was unclear when he was in the intensive care unit for eighteen days. The effects of this attack went far beyond simple physical discomfort, even though he lived through the trauma.
