A 43-year-old basketball coach from the University of South Florida died.

There is grieving at the University of South Florida. Tragically, Amir Abdur-Rahim, the men’s basketball coach, died on Thursday. A medical operation that went badly wrong led to his death. Abdur-Rahim was just forty-three.

“Everyone at South Florida Athletics is in mourning alongside Coach Abdur-Rahim’s family,” said USF spokesman Michael Kelly.

He highlighted the coach’s contagious nature by calling him “authentic” and “driven.” “He enthralled Bulls Nation,” Kelly said. At USF, Coach Abdur-Rahim creates a lasting impact.

We shall never forget his influence on the community, the university, and student-athletes. Details are still unknown, despite the university reporting issues during a medical procedure.

Shortly before the previous season, Abdur-Rahim joined the USF program. He attracted attention right away and guided the squad to a stellar 25-8 record.
