A 76-year-old woman was saddened to discover that the jacket she gave contained a $2,500,000 lottery ticket she had won.

When a 76-year-old Pennsylvania woman’s winning lottery ticket ended up with charity, she found that her desire to perform a good deed may have cost her $2.5 million.

Mildred Simoneriluto sent some of her clothes to the Vietnam Veterans of America, a group that provides veterans with services and outreach initiatives, as her charitable contribution.

After that, the old lady presumably didn’t give the garment much thought until last year, when she discovered.

The lottery ticket she had purchased from a Murrysville grocery shop two weeks before, in May 2024, was a winner.

We’re talking about $2.5 million, which is a sum that might really change someone’s life, not a few bucks.

Mildred quickly started looking for her ticket after hearing of her victory, only to discover that she had left it in the pocket of an old jacket she had donated to the Vietnam Veterans of America.
