Head coach Kevin O’Connell expressed his grief at Jackson’s passing on social media. He commented,
“I am completely devastated by this news.” Khyree instilled an infectious excitement in our staff and facilities. His teammates gravitated toward him right away because of his self-
assurance and charisma. “It was clear throughout our brief encounter that Khyree had the potential to excel as a professional football player,
but much more remarkable was his desire to become the greatest person he could be for his family and everyone around him.
“I don’t know what to say. He concluded the message, saying, “My heart goes out to Khyree’s family, friends, teammates, and coaches.”
